'הצפה' חושף את סיפורה של אישה ששרדה את היום שאחרי אסון נורא, כשלא נשאר כמעט שום דבר מהעולם שהכירה לפני. 'הצפה' מציג תמונה בימתית וויזואלית שמאפשרת לרגע לצופה להיות "ביום שאחרי" ולהרהר בחוויה ובשאלה, מה היה קורה אילולי הוא היה האיש האחרון עלי אדמות. המופע מנסה לייצר קשר בין הפנטזיה הויזואלית של "הסוף" לבין היראה או הפחד מהרגע הזה; בין הפעולות היומיומיות שאנחנו מבצעים מתוך הרגל לשינויי הסביבה שלנו ולעובדה שלא ככה סתם הגיע לו "הסוף". האם הדמות שנמצאת לבד מעבירה את הזמן בציפייה לשינויי או בעצם לא מצפה לו כלל? והאם הבדידות חונקת או דווקא משחררת?
תוך כדי חיפוש אחר חיבור בין שתי השפות האמנותיות של ניבי אלרואי ואלה רוטשילד מצטיירת תמונה טראגית של אמת כואבת.
FLOOD
A collaboration of Ella Rothschild with the artist Nivi Alroy. Flood is a multidisciplinary solo piece. Premiered at Intimadance festival 2016, Tel-Aviv,
and in a site specific event in kelim | choreography center.
Flood reveals the story of an individual who survived the day after a big disaster, when there’s almost no remains from the world she knew before. Flood displays a visual picture that allows a moment to reflect on a new, lonely reality. The audience can ponder about a possibility of finding themselves in this reality. The show creates a connection between the visual fantasy of “the end” and the fear from this moment. The creation seeks for a direct link between our behavior and our habits to the extreme changes in our environment.
The connection between the two artistic languages of Nivi Alroy and Ella Rothschild creates a dark world that reveals a tragic truth.
